Nicholas Rose has a diverse work experience in various educational and research institutions. Nicholas started their career as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Morehead State University in 2006. Nicholas then joined Oklahoma State University in 2009 as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, where they held multiple research positions, such as Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant. In these roles, they contributed to projects related to GIS systems and analyzing the impact of road characteristics on fatal motor vehicle accidents. In 2012, Nicholas worked as a Park Break Student at the National Park Service. Nicholas then moved on to Butler Community College in 2018 as a Lead Online Adjunct Instructor. Currently, they are working as an Assistant Professor of Geography at North Idaho College, where they joined in August 2018.
Nicholas Rose earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geography/Regional Analysis and Public Policy from Morehead State University in the years 2004-2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geography from Oklahoma State University from 2009-2011. From 2011-2018, Nicholas completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) course work in Geography at Oklahoma State University.
