Alexey Avdeev

Alexey Avdeev has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alexey'smost recent role is as a Senior Ruby Backend Engineer at ButterflyMX®, starting in August 2022.

Prior to this, Alexey worked at Associated Packaging, Inc. from 2017 to 2022. Alexey held multiple positions within the company, including Director Of Information Technology, Information Technology Manager, Technology Coordinator, and Software Coordinator. During their time at Associated Packaging, Alexey contributed to codebase and code reviews, developed Office 365 integration, initiated the development of an e-commerce web portal, created monitoring and automated systems, and introduced code review, version control, and agile methodology.

Before joining Associated Packaging, Alexey worked at Tech-Corps, Inc as an IT Manager for California, Nevada, and Russian offices from 2013 to 2017. Alexey also served as the RU IT Manager and Software Developer for the company from 2013 to 2013. In these roles, they managed multiple IT departments, coordinated work between US and Russian offices, developed automated solutions, and created an information system for managing multiple accounts.

Alexey's earlier experience includes working as a Senior System Administrator at OPENSOFT ru from 2011 to 2013, IT Manager and Senior Systems Administrator at Saratov City Government from 2007 to 2011, Software Developer at Russkie Kolbasy LLC from 2006 to 2007, and Technician at Stjag LLC from 2005 to 2006. Alexey also served as a Systems Administrator at the Center of Government Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision from 2003 to 2004.

Throughout their career, Alexey has gained expertise in various technologies and methods such as Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, NodeJS, Express, Windows/*nix servers, Cisco ASA, VmWare ESXi, and more.

Alexey Avdeev completed their education in a chronological order. From 2001 to 2007, they attended Saratov State University named after N.G.Chernyshevsky, where they studied physics, maths, English, and computer science. In 2017, they furthered their education by earning a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp, specializing in computer software engineering. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained various certifications from different institutions, including HackerRank, Avalara University, and Coursera, which covered subjects such as Python, SQL, Java, and data retrieval, processing, and visualization. Alexey also participated in MongoDB University courses related to MongoDB for developers and database administrators.
