Himica K. has over 8 years of work experience in the software engineering and development field. In 2021, they began working as a Backend and MLOps Engineer at Buzz Solutions and a Software Engineer at Itamar Medical, where they are responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing data processing infrastructure, productizing, containerizing, and deploying research algorithms to cloud production environments, and leading initiatives on data encryption and data security. In 2017, Himica K. joined Spry Health (now a part of Itamar Medical) as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for architecting, developing, and launching an end-to-end platform infrastructure from scratch, edge to cloud to frontend for a FDA (510(k) Class II) cleared remote patient monitoring system. Himica also developed data translation and compression protocols on both client and server to optimize the secure data transferred over cellular network. In 2016, Himica K. worked as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon, where they created an auditing system which was a real time expert system implementing business rules. Himica also worked at The Institute for Neuroimaging and Informatics, Keck School of Medicine of USC as a Graduate Student Researcher. In 2013, Himica K. began working at SapientNitro as an Associate Technology, where they were responsible for core Java development, Adobe CQ development, localization and multi-lingual website development, Search Engine Optimization strategies, integration of Google Custom Site Search (JSON) and Webmaster Tools, Facebook API, Twitter API, and Brightcove API integrations, and creating customized CQ widgets for dialogs using Ext.

Himica K. attended the Ramaiah Institute Of Technology from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science. Himica then went on to the University of Southern California from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science.
