Harald Ystanes

Harald Ystanes is a highly experienced electrical engineer with a career spanning over four decades in the maritime and offshore industries. Since January 2001, Harald has held multiple key positions at BW Offshore, including Senior Electrical Engineer for Life Extension Projects and Principal Electrical Engineer for the Catcher FPSO Development. Prior to this, Harald worked at Bergesen d.y. ASA from July 1992 to January 2001, serving as Chief Electrician for the FPSO Berge Hugin and undertaking roles as a Ship Electrician. Earlier experience includes work at Tyssefaldene as an electrical engineer for a hydro power plant and various shipping companies as a Ship Electrician. Harald holds degrees in Electric Power Engineering from NKI Technical Institute and Ship Electrician certification from Bergen Maritime, along with an electrician qualification from Technical College.
