Deon Brown, CSEP, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Deon began their career at the University of Virginia Automobile Safety Lab as a Research Assistant, where they gained experience in biomechanics and impact of vehicular trauma. Deon then joined NASA Academy as a Research Associate, participating in a leadership development program and visiting various aerospace organizations.

Deon went on to work as a Junior Engineer at GHG Corporation, where they provided independent assessment on Space Transportation System and International Space Station for safety and mission assurance. Deon then joined NASA Johnson Space Center as an Aerospace Technologist, focusing on spaceflight instruction and training on environmental control and life support systems.

Deon later joined L3Harris Technologies, initially serving as a Test Architect and Environmental Test Lead. Deon was responsible for procedure development, test execution, and general maintenance of facilities and equipment. Deon later transitioned to a role as a Capital Equipment Engineer and Process Engineer, where they coordinated equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.

Most recently, Deon has worked at Paragon Space Development Corporation as a Test Architect. In this role, they led the development of environmental test strategies on Gateway lunar space station life support hardware.

Currently, Deon is with BWX Technologies, Inc. as a Systems Engineering Verification and Validation Lead. Deon'sresponsibilities include developing verification and validation plans for space reactor and terrestrial microreactor projects and coordinating the efforts of various teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Deon Brown, CSEP has a solid educational background in the field of engineering and space studies. Deon began their education at Grace King High School, where they completed their secondary education in an unspecified field of study.
