Dave Hawthorn

Dave Hawthorn is an experienced professional with a diverse background in management and leadership across various industries. Currently serving as Principal at Springmead Publishing since May 2017 and Portfolio Manager at Boston Properties since June 2018, Dave also holds a position on the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee for Lichfield Cathedral since October 2021. Previously, Dave chaired Velorim Ltd. from November 2019 to August 2023, where guidance was provided during its launch and initial investment phase. As Chief Executive, Dave successfully launched the UK's bicycle tyre recycling scheme, demonstrating strong leadership and stakeholder engagement. Early career roles include Managing Director of Independent Buyers, Head of Procurement at Unipoly, and Technical Officer at BTR Technology Services, among others. Educational qualifications include an MBA equivalent in Business Leadership from PA Sundridge Park and a degree in Chemistry from the University of Derby.
