Matthew Sexton

Matthew Sexton, P.E. has a diverse range of work experience. Matthew is currently working at Boston Properties as the Director of Engineering, where they oversee engineering operations. Prior to that, they held the role of Regional Engineer at the same company. Before joining Boston Properties, Matthew worked as the Chief Engineer for the Boston region. In addition to their work in the real estate industry, Matthew also served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander. Matthew has experience in managing large-scale building improvement and energy projects in their role as an Engineering Project Manager and Energy Manager at C&W Services. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Energy Engineer at Alares LLC, leading various energy projects and providing recommendations for energy conservation measures. Matthew also has experience in naval engineering, having worked at the U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Center and the USCGC VALIANT as a naval architect and engineer. Additionally, Matthew has entrepreneurial experience as a Co-Founder of Torch Hybrid Marine Systems, where they led financial management and technology development. Matthew Sexton, P.E. holds a Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E.) in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan. Matthew also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy. In addition, Matthew has been certified as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering by the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2015.
