Christian Dons Christensen

Christian Dons Christensen currently serves as the Permanent Secretary of State at By-, Land- og Kirkeministeriet since February 2017. Previously, Christian held various positions at Udenrigsministeriet, including Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine, Georgia, and Armenia, as well as Head of Department for Asia, Oceania, and Latin America, and Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan. Additional roles include Head of the Food Policy Division at the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and several positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Denmark, including Deputy Head of Security Policy Department and Minister Counsellor, Deputy Permanent Representative to NATO. Christian's educational background includes a Master's degree in Political Science from Aarhus University and a Language Officer degree from the Royal Danish Defence College.
