Michelle Johnson Cissp, Cerp

Michelle Johnson, CISSP, CERP has over 20 years of work experience, with expertise in risk management and information security. Michelle currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Byline Bank, overseeing operational and technology risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation processes. Prior to this role, they worked as the Deputy Chief Risk Officer at Byline Bank and as the Vice President and Director of Operational Risk Management, where they oversaw information security, IT risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational risk management. Michelle also has experience working at OCC and Talmer Bank and Trust, where they held roles in enterprise risk management and information systems security management. Michelle began their career as an Information Security Officer at The PrivateBank and served in the Army National Guard as a Personnel Administrative Specialist and Military Police, with deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Michelle Johnson, CISSP, CERP holds a Masters in Diplomacy with a specialization in Conflict Resolution and Terrorism from Norwich University. Michelle also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Politics and Government from Illinois State University. In addition to their formal education, Michelle has obtained several certifications, including Certified Enterprise Risk Professional from the American Bankers Association in February 2018 and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in March 2010.
