Ren An Lim has had various work experiences in different roles and industries. In 2018, they worked as a Junior Marketing Consultant for The Acquisition Group for TELUS, where they initiated new contracts with clients and served as a liaison between customers and technicians. In 2019, they worked as a Student Ambassador for Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta. In 2021, they worked as a Marketing Consultant for Lantha Tech Ltd. and as an Event Technology Specialist for the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences. Ren An also completed a three-week intensive Training Camp and was selected as one of 62 new Fellows at Venture for Canada, which recruits, trains, and supports young people to work for innovative Canadian small businesses and startups. Additionally, they were an Associate in Business Development and Strategy at KorrAI (YC backed) and was a part of the Volta x Market 8 SaaS Marketing Program Cohort at Market 8. In 2022, they started working as a Business Analyst at Byos, an edge micro-segmentation company that helps organizations protect themselves from the risk of ubiquitous remote, guest and IoT network connectivity.
Ren An Lim completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in 2020. In 2019, they earned a Summer Certificate in International Business from EDHEC Business School. In 2020, Ren An Lim pursued continuing professional education through the Faculty of Extension at the University of Alberta. They have also earned several additional certifications, including Standard First Aid, CPR and AED from the Canadian Red Cross in September 2021, a Salesforce Sales Development Representative Professional Certificate from Coursera in April 2021, a Business Technology Management Certified Associate from TECHNATION in October 2020, Event Organizer Training from the University of Alberta in May 2019, and QPR Certification from the University of Alberta in May 2019.
