Phyllis Mburu-Karebe

Chief Activator- Nairobi at BYP Network

Phyllis Mburu-Karebe has a long history of work experience. Phyllis began their career in 2014 as an Intern for Awareness Against Human Trafficking (HAART Kenya). Phyllis then moved on to become a Project Officer and Programme Assistant for the same organization. In 2018, they became a Co-Founding Member of Stop The Traffik Kenya. From 2021 to present, they have held the role of Venture Associate for From Here Ventures, Founder for Front Women Africa, and Chief Activator- Nairobi for BYP Network. Most recently, in 2022 they became the Grants and Partnerships Manager for Tech Care for All.

Phyllis Mburu-Karebe attended Multimedia University from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Mass Communication in Public Relations. Phyllis then attended Vision Institute of Professionals from 2011 to 2012 and obtained Professional Papers in Certified Public Secretaries. In 2016 and 2017, they attended the University of the Pacific, where they studied Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Phyllis also attended The African Middle Eastern Leadership Institute (AMEL) in 2019. Additionally, they obtained a Non-Profit Management certification from the University of the Pacific.
