Jacqueline Theis OD, FAAO

Jacqueline Theis has extensive work experience in the field of optometry. Jacqueline'smost recent position is as the Chief Medical Officer at C. Light Technologies, Inc., where they have been working since June 2022. Prior to this role, they served as an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University starting in July 2022.

Before joining these organizations, Jacqueline worked as a Neuro-optometrist at both Virginia Neuro-Optometry and CONCUSSION CARE CENTRE OF VIRGINIA, LTD. starting in 2020.

Jacqueline has also worked as a Telemedicine Consultant at EyePACS, Inc. since June 2014.

From October 2014 to March 2020, Jacqueline worked as an Optometrist/Neuro-optometrist at Kaiser Permanente.

Jacqueline's earlier experience includes roles at the University of California, Berkeley. Jacqueline served as an Assistant Clinical Professor from July 2014 to November 2018 and as the Chief Clinical Researcher and Optometrist from June 2015 to December 2017. Jacqueline also completed a residency as an Optometrist at the University of California, Berkeley from June 2013 to June 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their Doctor of Optometry degree in August 2009.

Before pursuing their optometry career, they worked as a Student Athletic Trainer at Bucknell University from 2006 to 2009.

Jacqueline Theis OD, FAAO has an extensive education history. Jacqueline started their education journey in 2005 at Bucknell University, where they pursued a BS degree in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology. Jacqueline completed their undergraduate studies in 2009.

Following their undergraduate degree, Jacqueline enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained their Doctor of Optometry degree in 2013. During their time at Berkeley, they focused on the field of Optometry.

After earning their Doctor of Optometry degree, Jacqueline pursued a Residency at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Binocular Vision, Neuro-Optometry, and Children's Vision. Jacqueline completed their residency in 2014.

In terms of additional certifications, Jacqueline obtained the certification of Optometrist, Therapeutic from the State of California in June 2013. Jacqueline further obtained the same certification from the State of Virginia in March 2020. Additionally, they completed a Neuro-optometry residency at the University of California, Berkeley in July 2014.

In 2023, Jacqueline obtained a certification in Regression Analysis (#642) from statistics.com in June.
