Sónia Eugénio

Sónia Eugénio has been working in the professional field since 2001. Sónia began their career as a Researcher at the Department of Materials Engineering at the IST. In 2005, they worked as a Technician in Electron Microscopy Laboratory at the ICEMS- Institute of Materials and Surfaces Science and Engineering. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Corrosion Science and Surface Engineering (CSSE) at the IST. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Atlântica. Sónia then served as a Project Manager at InnoEnergy from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they are a Project Manager and Co-Founder at C2C-NewCap.

Sónia Eugénio obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Materials Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico between 1995 and 2001. Sónia then earned their Master of Science (MSc) in Surface Science and Engineering from the same institution between 2002 and 2004. Finally, they received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico between 2006 and 2012.
