Steven Haines

Steven Haines currently serves as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation and Compliance at C3 AI since November 2024. Previously, from August 2008 to November 2024, Steven was Vice President of Legal at Seagate Technology, where responsibilities included overseeing SEC reporting, corporate governance, and compliance matters. Steven also held roles such as Deputy General Counsel and Head of the Litigation Team, achieving a significant recovery of over $800 million in trade secret theft arbitration and a successful defense in a billion-dollar patent infringement trial. Prior experience includes partnership at Morrison Foerster, focusing on complex litigation and intellectual property cases, as well as earlier associate positions at Morrison & Foerster LLP and Hufstedler & Kaus LLP. Steven earned a JD from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law and a BA from Boston College.
