Michael Sloan

Michael Sloan is General Counsel for C5 Capital. As General Counsel, Mike is responsible for the firm’s exposure to legal risk, including litigation and regulatory compliance around the world. He is also deeply involved in the firm’s business operations. Mike helps to negotiate and reviews all of C5’s investment, investor, employment, and vendor service agreements. Previously, Mike was a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, where he served as Chair of the firm’s 30+ lawyer Communications Practice Group.

Mike is a member of the Board of Directors of Adas Israel Congregation, one of the largest and oldest synagogues in the United States. He is also a volunteer for the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, where he provides pro bono legal assistance to housing insecure residents of the District of Columbia.

Mike holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, an M.P.A. from Indiana University, and a B.A. in English Literature from Northwestern University. Mike started his legal career as a clerk for the Honorable Juan M. Perez-Gimenez, United States District Court, District of Puerto Rico. He worked at the Office of Management and Budget and the Senate Budget Committee before attending law school.
