Salvador Polo Generelo

Salvador Polo Generelo, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at CABIMER since July 2022, focusing on the identification and characterization of lncRNAs and RNAs involved in regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition using various advanced methodologies. Prior to this position, Salvador was a PhD candidate at CABIMER from October 2015 to July 2021, where the research emphasis remained the same. Additional experience includes a visiting PhD student role at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, performing iCLIPseq analysis, and internships at Hospital 12 de Octubre, Eurofins Megalab España S.A, Clínica La Luz, and Instituto de Biología Funcional y Genómica. Salvador holds a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biomedicine and Clinical Research from Universidad de Sevilla, a Master’s degree in Clinical Analysis from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biotechnology from Universidad de Salamanca and Universidad Pablo de Olavide.
