Hannes Portmann

Hannes Portmann is a seasoned financial executive with a strong background in the mining and metals sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Cabot since January 2022, Hannes also holds a position as a Board Member at SilverCrest Metals Inc. beginning in October 2018. Previously, Hannes was the Chief Financial Officer and involved in business development at Marathon Gold Corp. from October 2019 to January 2022. Further expertise includes advisory roles at VRIFY and extensive leadership experience at New Gold Inc., where roles spanned from Executive Vice President of Business Development to President and CEO. Hannes has also served as Director of Corporate Development at Western Goldfields and held associate positions at both Merrill Lynch and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Hannes holds a Master's degree in Management and Professional Accounting from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Queen's University. Additionally, Hannes is a member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
