Naveed Ihsanullah

Naveed Ihsanullah has a diverse and extensive work experience. Naveed is currently the Founder and CTO of Cadena Platforms since March 2023. Naveed is also a Fellow at the Algorand Foundation since March 2023.

Prior to these roles, Naveed worked at Algorand as the VP of Engineering Research from June 2019 to February 2023, and as the VP of Engineering from January 2018 to June 2019.

Before joining Algorand, Naveed held positions at Mozilla, where they were a Senior Engineering Manager from August 2015 to January 2018, and an Engineering Manager from April 2012 to July 2015. At Mozilla, they played a key role in designing and leading the Quantum Flow program to improve Firefox's performance.

Naveed also has experience as a Founder at FaceGuard, a company they started in October 2011. Naveed was responsible for addressing challenges in maintaining and protecting online reputation and developed a web service for parents to monitor their children's social network profiles.

Furthermore, Naveed worked at Bit9, Inc. as a Lead Architect and Product Manager from 2008 to September 2011. Naveed was responsible for growing the Global Software Registry (GSR) business tenfold in just two years.

Naveed also founded and served as Principal at Thought Labs from June 2007 to October 2009, where they developed a successful social media consulting business.

Earlier in their career, Naveed worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Compuware NuMega from March 1998 to June 2007. Naveed played a crucial role in improving the quality of hires and developing a technical selection system.

Additionally, Naveed worked as a Software Consultant on spyware and exploit monitoring at a technology company in 2005, and as a Web Consultant for an eLearning startup from March 2000 to February 2001.

Naveed Ihsanullah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Biochemistry from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Later on, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Harvard University, starting in 2003. No end year was specified for their studies at Harvard, suggesting that they may still be completing their degree or their education history beyond that point is not available.
