Ryan Bernier has a wealth of work experience, beginning with a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2014. In this role, they taught introductory physics students newtonian mechanics in a laboratory setting, as well as tutoring students in upper level physics classes. Ryan also had a Research Assistant role at the University of Chicago in 2014, where they designed and constructed a gas extraction system to extract gas from water samples taken from water wells in the Negev desert (Israel), and analyzed large sets of data from the gas extraction process. From 2012 to 2015, Ryan was self-employed and traveling, providing tutoring in math and physics, plus I.T. support services for individuals. In 2015, they took on a Systems and Technology Associate role at Democracy Prep Public Schools. From 2016 to 2022, Ryan worked at Flatiron Health, starting as a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer, then a Cloud Systems Engineer, an I.T. Systems Engineer, and finally an I.T. Support Engineer. Ryan is currently a Senior Systems Engineer at Cadence, a position they have held since 2022.
