Andy M.

Andy M. has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to health, safety, and risk management. Andy is currently working as the Head of Safety at Cadent Gas Limited, where they are responsible for the company's safety strategy, maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies, and leading accident investigations. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Risk at Bruntwood and held various roles at United Utilities, including Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy & Systems Manager and Lead on Behaviour and Culture Programme. Andy M. also has experience working as a Risk Control Consultant at Gallagher Bassett, University Safety Coordinator at The University of Manchester, Health and Safety Advisor at Smiths News, Senior Health and Safety Inspector at St Helens Council, and Environmental Health Officer/Health and Safety Inspector at Birmingham City Council. Andy began their career as a Student EHO at Blackpool Council.

Andy M. has a diverse education history. Andy started their higher education journey at The University of Salford from 1997 to 2001, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honors degree in Environmental Health.

Following a gap of several years, they pursued further education in the field of project management. In 2017, Andy M. earned a professional qualification in Project Management from Training Bytesize. Andy continued their project management studies in 2018 and 2019, completing another professional qualification in Project Management from the same institution.

In 2002, Andy M. enrolled at The University of Salford once again, this time to pursue a Master's degree (MSc) in Occupational Safety & Health. Andy successfully completed this program in 2007. Additionally, in 2002, Andy M. also took a Diploma (Dip) in Acoustics and Noise Control from the University of Derby.

In 2007, Andy M. furthered their knowledge in their field by obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Occupational Hygiene from The University of Manchester.
