Dawn Watlington

Dawn Watlington has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dawn began their career at QVC as an Order Entry Representative from October 2004 to June 2008. Dawn then worked for McPhillips, Roberts & Deans as a Billing Specialist/Executive Assistant from August 2006 to August 2013. Following that, Dawn joined Colliers International | Kansas City as a Transaction Services Specialist from August 2013 to August 2015.

Their work experience also includes a position at Children's Mercy Hospital as an Office Coordinator in Evidence-Based Practice from September 2015 to July 2017. Dawn then joined 22nd Century Technologies Inc., where they held multiple roles. Firstly, they served as a Technical Operations Support Analyst, Team Lead from January 2018 to March 2021. Subsequently, they took on the position of Acting Project Manager & Information Specialist/Knowledge Engineer from March 2021 to July 2022.

Currently, Dawn works at Caelum Research Corporation as an Information Specialist/Knowledge Engineer/Scrum Master, starting in July 2022. In this role, they are responsible for organizing and facilitating daily scrum, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and sprint and release planning. Dawn collaborates closely with the product owner on backlog grooming and ensures the product backlog is relevant and prioritized.

Throughout their career, Dawn has demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills. Dawn has experience in personnel management, conducting interviews, and providing technical support to end users. Dawn is also proficient in creating and maintaining documents for internal and external use.

Dawn Watlington has a diverse education history. Dawn obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Information Systems from DeVry University, where they were enrolled from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2015, they attended Tidewater Community College, where they pursued studies in Computer Information Systems and Business Management. Dawn also attended Old Dominion University from 2000 to 2003, focusing on Computer Information Systems and Business Management. Dawn's educational journey began at Bethel High, where they completed their High School Advanced Diploma between 1996 and 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Dawn also holds certifications in Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, which they obtained in November 2022, and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA, which they received in December 2018.
