Daniel Contreras

Daniel Contreras has extensive work experience in various roles within the engineering and project management fields. Daniel is currently the Engineering Director/ Energy Business Area at CAF Turnkey & Engineering since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an International Project Manager - PMO at IKUSI from April 2015 to February 2021, where they led the PMO and successfully implemented projects in various sectors. Before that, they served as the Director of Projects at Cegasa International from July 2010 to April 2015, overseeing EPC projects in the energy storage and renewable energy systems. Daniel also worked as a Project Manager at Amper, S.A. from March 2006 to July 2010, managing and coordinating EPC projects. Earlier in their career, they worked at Vodafone Ono, S.A.U. as a Responsible for Energy/HFC/NET and Specialized Network Engineer from January 2001 to March 2006, managing telecommunication and energy projects. Daniel started their career at Fagor Electronica as a Design Verification Engineer from July 1999 to December 2000, focusing on design, verification, and standardization of radiating elements.

Daniel Contreras has a diverse education history. Daniel started their academic journey at the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea from 1993 to 1999, where they obtained an Ingeniero de Telecomunicación. Radiocomunicaciones degree. Daniel then pursued further education in various fields.

In 2004, Daniel attended the Universidad Complutense de Madrid for a short period, focusing on Pedagogy studies. In 2005, they attended SAT&SAT for Project Management training. In 2010, they attended ICEX/Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Álava for Project Management studies.
