Gonzalo Soriano

Gonzalo Soriano serves as the Coordinator of non-sovereign legal aspects for Corporate Finance and transactions with Sub Nationals at CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina- since April 2018, where leadership involves providing private sector legal advisory in structuring diverse financial products. Previously, Gonzalo held the position of Principal Counsel within the regional Legal Private Sector team, handling Project Finance and Corporate Finance deals across 18 countries. In addition to the role at CAF, Gonzalo is a professor of Commercial Law I and III at Universidad de Lima. Gonzalo's prior experience includes working as a Senior Associate at Rebaza Alcazar & De Las Casas, specializing in Energy and Infrastructure, and serving as a Foreign Attorney at Yulchon LLC, focusing on corporate and financial transactions in Latin America. Educated with an LLM in Energy Law and Policy from the University of Dundee and a Suma Cum Laude degree in law from Universidad de Lima, Gonzalo's expertise encompasses a wide range of legal sectors, including foreign investment, mergers, and acquisitions.
