Xin Heng

Xin Heng is an experienced professional with a diverse background in data science and leadership roles. They currently serve as the Head of Data at Caffeine, where they are responsible for defining and executing the company's cloud-first data strategy. Previously, Xin was a Chair of the Enterprise Architecture Committee and VP, Head of Data at Punchh, where they played a key role in defining the company's data strategy and building cultural and technological foundations. They led and grew a talented global data organization and represented Punchh in business and tech events. Prior to that, Xin held the position of Head of Data Science at StubHub and Data Science Manager at Uber, where they led various growth initiatives and built and mentored teams. Xin also has experience in the finance industry, serving as an HFT Researcher at Citium Capital Advisors LLC and a Quant Trader at Mellon Capital. They began their professional career as a Senior R&D Engineer at Bio-Rad Laboratories and a Postdoc at Rowland Institute, Harvard University. Overall, Xin Heng brings a wealth of experience in data science, leadership, and research to their current role at Caffeine.

Xin Heng completed a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Caltech during the period of 2002-2007. Following this, Xin Heng pursued a Master's in Finance (MFE) at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, from 2011-2012. Prior to these advanced degrees, Xin Heng earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Nanjing University between 1998-2002.
