Basil Hovakeemian

Basil Hovakeemian has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Basil is currently serving as the CEO of CAFU Petroleum since 2022. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Hala from 2021 to 2022 and also served as the Director of Strategy & Expansion at Hala from 2019 to 2021. Before joining Hala, Basil worked at Roland Berger as a Project Manager from 2016 to 2019. Basil also gained experience at Procter & Gamble, where they held the position of Senior Manager in Hair Care (Pantene) from 2010 to 2014 and Manager in Fem Care (Always) from 2007 to 2010. Basil's career began as a Process Engineering Intern at Kuwait Catalyst Company in 2006.

Basil Hovakeemian began their education by completing their high school education at the American School of Kuwait from 2000 to 2003. During this time, they were recognized for their academic excellence and received the National Honor Society Recipient distinction.

Following their high school graduation, Basil pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington from 2003 to 2007. Basil dedicated four years to studying and gaining comprehensive knowledge in this field.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Basil decided to further their education and enrolled at the IE Business School in 2014. Basil pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General. This program lasted for a year, concluding in 2015.
