Derek Stone

Derek Stone has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Derek first started their career as a Lifeguard at Alamo Heights Independent School District, where they ensured swimmer safety and maintained pool facilities for two years. Derek then moved on to Oregon State University, working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. In this role, they assisted with research projects, co-authored publications, and demonstrated strong aseptic technique skills. Following their time at the university, Derek joined Worldwide Clinical Trials as a Scientific Associate, specializing in bioanalysis. Derek performed bioanalytical assays accurately, prepared stocks and reagents, and maintained instrument calibration. Derek then transitioned to ION Biosciences, where they served as Quality Manager. In this role, they led ISO/GLP initiatives, created validation SOPs, and managed biology production processes. Currently, Derek works at CAI as a Validation Engineer, although the details of their role have not been specified.

Derek Stone attended Alamo Heights High School from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following this, from 2016 to 2020, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering at Oregon State University.
