Antonin Billaud began their career in 2012 as an Intern as an Optics Engineer at University College London, where they designed and fabricated a digital control loop to automate the acquisition and maintain optical injection locking of a tunable slave laser to a master optical frequency comb generator. In 2013, they became an Intern as an Optics Engineer at the School of Applied Sciences at Cranfield University. Antonin also became a PhD Student in the Advanced Solid States Sources group at the University of Southampton in 2013. In 2017, they became a Research and Development Engineer at Cailabs, where they were the project leader and R&D Optical Engineer on beam shaping projects for laser applications, from telecom to industrial ones. Antonin specialized in systems for telecom research applications centered on Spatial Division Multiplexing (SDM) and on free-space communication enhancing devices, enabling passive tip-tilt and turbulence compensation, allowing higher throughput for satcoms.
Antonin Billaud received a Master's degree in Laser and Optical Engineering from Institut d'Optique Graduate School between 2010 and 2013.
