Pierre Vernaz-Gris, PhD, is an experienced professional with a diverse background in various scientific roles. Pierre began their career as a Research Intern at the University of St Andrews in 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Oral Examinator at Lycée Jeanne d'Albret, where they created and administered chemistry questions for a national competitive exam. In 2013, Pierre pursued their PhD at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, focusing on the preparation of large cold-atom ensembles for quantum information experiments. Pierre completed their dual-award PhD at The Australian National University from 2014 to 2018, working under the supervision of Professors Ping Koy Lam and Ben Buchler. During this time, they conducted research in quantum information experiments. Pierre also gained valuable experience as a Scientific Mediator at Palais de la découverte from 2015 to 2016. Since 2018, they have been working as a Technical Project Leader at Cailabs.
Pierre Vernaz-Gris, PhD, completed their education in a variety of institutions and fields of study. Pierre began their academic journey at Lycée Thiers from 2007 to 2010, where they pursued a Classes Préparatoire aux Grandes Écoles (CPGE) in Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering Science (PCSI, PC*). After this, they enrolled at École normale supérieure and earned their Master's Degree in Physics from 2010 to 2014.
In 2013, Pierre Vernaz-Gris began their doctoral studies in Quantum Physics at Pierre and Marie Curie University, which they continued until 2017. During the same period, from 2014 to 2017, they also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Quantum Physics at The Australian National University.
In addition to their formal education, Pierre Vernaz-Gris has obtained several certifications. Pierre completed the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge ESOL examination in June 2006. Pierre later earned the GitLab Certified Git Associate certification from GitLab in April 2021. More recently, they completed the course "How to Manage a Remote Team" through Coursera in May 2023.
