Carlos Coutinho, PhD, PMP has extensive experience in research, academia, and project management. Carlos served as the Research and Development Engineering Director at Caixa Mágica Software, where they worked as a Research Engineer and Senior R&D Project Manager. In addition, they completed a Post-Graduation in Project Management at Instituto Superior Bissaya Barreto from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, Carlos earned a Licentiate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ISEL - Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa from 1994 to 1997, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution from 1990 to 1994. Carlos also attended Escola Secundária D. Pedro V from 1989 to 1990, where they completed their high school education with a focus on software. Carlos has additional certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, which were obtained in 2022. Carlos obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in 2010 and has an ECDL - European Computer Driver's Licence from ICDL Europe in 2005. Additionally, Carlos obtained a NATO Secret Clearance from GNS - Gabinete Nacional de Segurança in 2010.
