Sarah Ruiz

Sarah Ruiz is an experienced educator currently serving as a 6-8 Newcomer Teacher and School Site Council Elected Secretary at Cajon Valley Union School District since July 2017, focusing on teaching multiple subjects to middle school students new to the United States. Additionally, Sarah has held roles as an English Learner Facilitator and a Long Term English Learner Teacher for grades 6-8. Prior experience includes positions as K/1 PLC Team Lead and 1st Grade Teacher at Bay View Academy Charter School, and teaching 4th/5th and 3rd grades at Pajaro Valley Unified School District and Monterey County Office of Education, respectively. Sarah's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, both from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
