Cheryl Green obtained a Regents Diploma with Honors from Iroquois High School between the years 1983 and 1987. Cheryl then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Buffalo from 1987 to 1991. Their major was Political Science, and they minored in English. Cheryl continued their education at Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law from 1992 to 1995, where they earned a J.D. degree in the field of Law.
