Mangala Karunaratne

Mangala Karunaratne is the Founder and CEO of Calcey® Technologies, a software product engineering boutique recognized by Gartner for developing market-leading digital products for enterprise and startup clients worldwide since June 2002. In addition, Mangala serves as an investor in various companies, including ConscientAI, MotionMiracles, SurgeGlobal, Upflex, FreshFitnessFood, and Grove Collab, among others, since August 2008. Previously, Mangala worked at Nortel Networks from February 1998 to May 2002, holding positions such as Product Manager and Technical Lead in Web Content Management and Web Intelligence, along with software engineering roles in emerging web technologies. Starting a career at Golfweb.com from December 1996 to January 1998, Mangala developed the Internet's first golf handicap calculator and was involved in creating an online golf game and a pro shop, contributing to the site's acquisition by CBS SportsLine. Mangala holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fresno, earned between 1993 and 1996.
