Premuditha Perera

Premuditha Perera is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and education. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at DreamStart Labs, a social impact fintech startup, since January 2020, Premuditha has successfully scaled a globally distributed engineering team and fostered cross-cultural collaboration. In addition to this role, Premuditha is a Visiting Lecturer at Universal College Lanka, imparting knowledge in computing. With a rich background at Calcey, holding various technical leadership positions, Premuditha played a key role in project development, client engagement, and establishing engineering standards. Contributions include the successful launch of a mobile-based data collection solution in Africa and a recognized SaaS product used by global companies. Premuditha has also held guest lecturer positions at SLIIT and APIIT Sri Lanka, enhancing students' employability skills and mentoring final-year engineering projects. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Moratuwa and a Bachelor of Science in Computing from Staffordshire University.
