Robotics Software Engineer/cto at Caldo Restaurant Technologies

Jorge Guerra has a strong background in engineering and software development. Jorge has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

From 2011 to 2012, Jorge worked as an Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney, where they contributed to the development of a refurbishing process for airplane engine parts. Jorge also updated plant processes and optimized the plant layout.

In 2012, Jorge worked as a Product Engineering Intern at EFACEC, focusing on structural and mechanical design for substation control units. Jorge also revised wiring layouts and used CAD software for manufacturing processes.

From 2012 to 2013, Jorge served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Louisiana State University.

Starting in 2014, Jorge worked at Factory Automation Systems as a Project Engineer. Jorge led hardware upgrades for safety critical systems and developed PLC and HMI programs for conveyor and hydraulic applications.

In 2016, Jorge joined The Haskell Company as a Design Engineer. Jorge led the design and programming of automation control panels for beverage bottling lines and designed automation hardware and software for a mass production facility.

From 2017 to 2018, Jorge worked at Barry-Wehmiller Design Group as an Electrical Engineer. Jorge led the installation and programming of a fully automated wine bottling line and implemented PID control loops for temperature control.

Jorge joined Zume Inc. in 2018 as a Senior Controls Engineer, responsible for integrating robotics and automation with cloud-based architecture. Jorge also led the controls engineering for Zume's robotic pizza kitchens.

In 2020, Jorge joined PAX Labs, Inc. as an Automation & Controls Engineer, focusing on real-time data logging and testing methodologies.

Currently, Jorge is working as the CTO at Caldo Restaurant Technologies, a position they started in 2020.

In 2022, Jorge briefly worked as a Software Engineer at Actalent.

Jorge Guerra began their education journey at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Louisiana State University from 2012 to 2013 to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Jorge Guerra obtained certifications in C Programming for Embedded Applications and IoT Foundations: Fundamentals in March 2019 from LinkedIn.
