Marisela Peña Pavlenko

Marisela Peña Pavlenko, P.E., is a Water Resources Engineer at the California Department of Water Resources, specializing in flood maintenance and operations since October 2018. Previous experience includes roles as a Water Resource Control Engineer at the State Water Resources Control Board, focusing on NPDES compliance and drinking water operations, as well as various positions at UCLA and the University of California, Berkeley, where contributions involved job development and research in hydrology. Marisela holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from UCLA, complemented by leadership experience as a Battalion Commander in the U.S. Army Cadet Command.
