Shayna Yasuhara

Shayna Yasuhara is an accomplished marketing and audience engagement professional with extensive experience in communications, arts, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Marketing & Audience Engagement Manager at the California Film Institute since June 2021, Shayna previously held roles as Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator at NORTH OF MARKET TENDERLOIN COMMUNITY BENEFIT CORPORATION from June 2018 to June 2021. As the Founder & Organizer of Paint Pens Collective, Shayna developed a national alternative art community based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Other significant positions include Managing Editor at SF Station, Public Relations Assistant at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and Director of Artist Relations for Boston's largest contemporary arts festival. Shayna's educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice/Sociology from Northeastern University and honors from California High School.
