Michelle Espinosa Coulter has a diverse work experience in the field of affordable housing development and finance. Michelle Espinosa is currently working as a Senior Housing Finance Consultant at California Housing Partnership since June 2020. Prior to that, they served as a project manager and director at Meta Housing Corporation, where they developed and implemented the Meta Artist Housing model, providing affordable housing and skill-building opportunities to working artists and their families. Michelle Espinosa was with Meta Housing Corporation from January 2011 to May 2020.

Earlier in their career, Michelle worked as a project manager at A Community of Friends from May 2008 to January 2012, and at Livable Places from June 2006 to May 2008, both in affordable housing development. Michelle Espinosa also gained experience as a Compliance Analyst at Low Income Investment Fund from September 2003 to August 2005.

Additionally, Michelle has prior experience in the financial industry, having worked as a Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from 2001 to 2003, and as a Manager at BDO Seidman, LLP from 1998 to 2001.

Michelle Espinosa Coulter earned a BBA degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University between 1991 and 1995. Michelle Espinosa then pursued an MS degree in Accounting from the same institution from 1994 to 1996. Later, from 2005 to 2007, they attended UCLA where they obtained an MA degree in Urban Planning with a concentration in Housing Development.
