Armando Martinez-Celis

Armando Martinez-Celis is a seasoned Senior Designer at Brains on Fire since May 2022, and a Guest Graphic Design BFA Faculty Member at the California Institute of the Arts since September 2023. As the Founder of Father Madre, Armando collaborates with partner Brooke Irish on diverse passion projects, encompassing publication design, workshops, and identity systems. Previous experience includes serving as Art Director at Kilter and DISTINC_, where clients included Scripps College and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Armando also has a background in academia, having taught graphic design courses at institutions such as Chaffey College and expanded online learning through Typography in Context at CalArts. With a BFA in Graphic Design from the California Institute of the Arts, Armando has developed brand strategies for clients ranging from Google to ADP during a tenure at Innovation Protocol.
