Ryan VanOmmeren has extensive experience in facilities planning and operations, starting with their role as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the US Navy from 1985 to 1993. Ryan then served as the Director of Facilities at Golden Gate University from 1993 to 2000. Ryan continued their career at California Lutheran University, where they worked as the Associate VP Planning and Operations, overseeing various aspects of facilities, campus safety, and auxiliary services operations. Additionally, they served as a Board member for the Girl Scouts and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Ryan VanOmmeren earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University in 1985. Ryan later obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999.
