Joanna Valdez Castro

Joanna Valdez Castro is currently serving as the Civic Engagement Coordinator for the California Primary Care Association in San Diego, a role assumed in September 2023. Prior experience includes working as an Advocacy Corps Organizer for the Friends Committee on National Legislation and in the Recreation Department for the City of Vista. Joanna has also held several positions related to political science, including Instructional Student and Research Assistant at California State University San Marcos and internship roles in the California State Assembly and various political campaigns. Joanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from California State University San Marcos, and an Associate of Arts in the same field from MiraCosta College.
