Danielle Cruse Leonard

Danielle Cruse Leonard is an experienced Certified Child Life Specialist with a strong background in providing child life services in diverse healthcare settings. Currently at California Protons Cancer Therapy Center since November 2020, Danielle successfully launched child life services tailored for cancer patients and their families. Previously at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego since November 2015, Danielle focused on interventions to support children and families during hospitalizations, offering age-appropriate diagnostic education. Danielle's foundational experience includes an internship at Rady Children's Hospital, a practicum at Texas Children's Hospital, and roles as a camp counselor supporting children with hand deformities. Danielle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from Texas Christian University, complemented by continued education in relevant fields.
