Heather Hopkins has extensive experience in education and community service. Currently serving as a School Board Member for Las Lomitas Elementary School District since December 2021, Heather was initially appointed for a one-year term and subsequently elected for a four-year term ending in 2026. As the owner and administrator of Toddle Flexible Preschool since January 2012, Heather focuses on delivering flexible preschool programming that supports children's development. Heather is also a communications consultant at Heather M. Hopkins Consulting and an organizing member of the Community Equity Collaborative, which promotes educational equity on the San Francisco Peninsula. Additionally, Heather represents Region 5 as a delegate for the California School Boards Association since April 2023. Previously, Heather founded My New Red Shoes in 2006, an organization providing essential clothing and shoes to over 90,000 students in poverty. Heather holds a Bachelor's degree in American History from Princeton University.
