Tonantzin Oseguera held several positions in the Division of Student Affairs prior to her appointment as Vice President for Student Affairs in 2020. She served as an associate vice president since 2016, and as dean of students from 2013 to 2016. She served on the President’s Commission for Equity and Inclusion, the Undocumented and Ally Faculty and Staff Association, and as co-chair of the Black Excellence Care Group. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Colorado State University, a master’s degree in education from the University of Vermont and a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California.
