Barbara Hodgkinson

Barbara Hodgkinson currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for The California Symphony, a position held since January 2020. With over 25 years of experience in IT infrastructure, Hodgkinson has a rich background as an IT consultant from April 2013 to January 2020, where analysis and improvement of complex systems were key focuses. Prior roles include AVP of Platform Engineering at Nationwide Insurance, where management of a $65M budget was essential, and Head of Global Production Operations at Yahoo!, overseeing multiple operational centers. Previous positions at JPMorgan Chase, Charles Schwab & Co., and Bank of America reflect extensive expertise in mainframe engineering and UNIX systems support. Hodgkinson holds a BA in Music from Stanford University, completed in 1977.
