Chase Young

Chase Young is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as Waterfront Director and Dockmaster at California Yacht Club since February 2022. Prior to this role, Chase held positions as Captain at Marine Express, Inc., providing logistical support in the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, and as Waterfront Director and Marine Asset Manager at Long Beach Yacht Club from July 2017 to February 2022. Additional experience includes captaining the Balboa Island Ferry, managing operations at Quantum Sail Design Group, and serving as President of the Association of Future Firefighters at Long Beach City College. Chase began a maritime career as a Deckhand at Pacific Tugboat Service. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in website design from California State University, Long Beach, and an Associate of Science in Fire Science from Long Beach City College.
