Matthew Wiertel

Matthew Wiertel currently serves as an Application Sales Manager for Calix, focusing on promoting the SmartBiz solution to Broadband Service Providers in the East Central and North Central United States. Prior to this role, Matthew held various senior management positions at Velocity Network from April 2001 to March 2024, including Director of Sales and Business Development, where oversight of sales operations and strategic project development were key responsibilities. Additional roles included Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Business Development, and Managing-Operator for fishtank creative and Velocity Labs, contributing to the expansion of sales and marketing efforts as well as operational management. Matthew's early career included customer service roles at Circuit City and Downing Golf Course. Education includes an MBA in Business Administration and a BA in Management from Penn State University.
