Chris Hilleard

Chris Hilleard is an accomplished mechanical design engineer with extensive experience in additive manufacturing and mechanical design. Currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at HotLime Labs since March 2021, Chris also works at Callaghan Innovation as an Application Development Engineer since August 2015, where the focus is on supporting New Zealand businesses in adopting additive manufacturing technologies. Previous roles include Mechanical Design Engineer at Hilleard Engineering Limited, and Mechanical Design Technician at DieselGas International Limited, where Chris developed technical documents and designed components for production. Chris’s career began as a Machinist at Industrial Research Limited, where design consultation and prototype development were key responsibilities. Chris holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Wellington Institute of Technology, with education completed at Rathkeale College.
