Francois Shindo

Francois Shindo is a seasoned Research Scientist specializing in Photometry and Radiometry at Callaghan Innovation, a position held since February 2013. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at Industrial Research Ltd from October 2008 to February 2013, focusing on photometry and radiometry metrology. From September 2003 to August 2008, Francois served as a Visiting Scientist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, concentrating on optical experiment design and software development for instrument control and data analysis. Early career involvement as a Mediateur at Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie included lecturing at the Planetarium and designing science events. Francois holds a PhD in Astrophysics from Université Paris Cité and a PhD-master from the Doctoral school of Astronomy and Astrophysics in Ile-de-France, completed between 1998 and 2002.
