Katea Downes

Katea Downes is an experienced Events and Marketing Specialist currently overseeing events for the Grant Evaluation Panel at Callaghan Innovation since May 2022. In addition to this role, Katea serves as a Product Marketing Campaign Specialist and Social Media Coordinator at Our:House Events. Previous experience includes positions as Marketing Coordinator at Beauty Gallery, Regional Sales Representative at Tailor Skincare, and Brand Ambassador roles at both Celebration Box and COCOOIL. Katea also completed a Social Media Internship at Explosive Social, where skills in managing social media accounts and increasing brand awareness were developed. Katea holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies in Communication and Media Studies from Auckland University of Technology and NCEA qualifications from Whangaparaoa College.
