Corey J. Callais

Corey J. Callais is a Managing Partner and the Chairman at Callais Capital Management. Corey oversees all activity of his sons, Hal and Nicholas, guiding them in their activities for managing the investment portfolio and portfolio companies.

Over his career, Corey served as the Chief Executive Officer of KLEB/KZZQ, Callais Cablevision, LLC, and Solid Waste Disposal Inc. All of which experienced substantial growth under his administration. He eventually negotiated and closed the sale of these companies for a combined total in excess of $104 million. From this, he brings deep knowledge in transactional, operational, and technical expertise across industries.

In addition to the direct roles he held as Chief Executive Officer, Corey served on the Board of Directors for other family businesses with his brothers. Some of these board positions include Abdon Callais Offshore, Community Bank, United Community Bank, American Bank of Welsh, Citizens Progressive Bank, Lagniappe Motors, Callais Reality, Inc, Pie Offshore, Land-Glo, LLC, Sea-Glo, LLC, Air-Glo, LLC, and others. In this role, Corey was instrumental in realizing additional exit proceeds which exceeded $600 million.

Currently, Corey serves as the Chairman for United Community Bank, a $550 million in assets commercial bank and Pelican Waste and Debris, LLC. To date, he’s managed companies across industries that have appeared on the Inc500 six times. He previously served as President or as a Board Member for multiple civic organizations including the Golden Meadow Rotary Club, the Lafourche Parish Chamber of Commerce, American Cable Association, Louisiana Bankers Association, and others. Corey has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Nicholls State University. He currently resides in Houma, Louisiana with his wife Tina and spends time with his sons and his 5 grandchildren.
